This is a well-written book. But, I had a great deal of difficulty getting past the level of abuse that Anna's family inflicted on her. But for that, I would have given more stars. But, I will continue to (re)read books by this author.

The greatest lesson that I learned in the book From Anna is to remember that you a precious pure pearl (as a person) and you can't be anything else but that. So, if you have self confidence and feel enough you don't care if you are not perfect like others.

my friend has read the book, even though i havent. She thinks it can really relate to reality for some people. It's interesting because it compares her time in Germany and her time in Canada. She didnt think it was fantastic, but it was worth reading. : )
