Bill Peet has a gift to tell wonderful stories, but also to illustrate them. He uses pencil crayon in Kermit the Hermit and the detail is intense. As always, a lesson is learned and the reader is left with a smile of appreciation for reading a worthwhile story. I remember his books as a child and now I'm enjoying them again as an adult.
