A heavy tragedy with no characters to like (or not very much). Beware. Well written, of course, given the author, but the beginning drags. I was getting to the point where I would have murdered him myself if I could have.

very Georgette Heyer, but not humorous. Kind-of dark actually.

I don't think there was a single likeable character in the book - very unusual for Ms. Heyer! A different sort of mystery.
