This animated series is funny, irreverent, innovative, and record breaking. Some seasons are better than others, but overall it's a great watch!

I am a huge Simpson’s fan (early seasons), but I find that season 8 marks the beginning of the dark ages for this show. In this season, the humor is beginning to be dumbed down (new writers? stretching for new material?) and, despite a few episode-gems, the plots are weak and the dialog too goofy, lacking the old wit and intelligence of older seasons. One redeeming factor: the animation is as great as ever, if not better, and the episodes are visually entertaining. Despite my complaints, I would recommend this season to others so long as they promised to watch the older seasons also.
