It's not easy being Jinx. Jean Honeychurch hates her boring name (not Jean Marie, or Jeanette, just . . . Jean). What's worse? Her all-too-appropriate nickname, Jinx. Misfortune seems to follow her everywhere she goes--even to New York City, where Jinx has moved to get away from the huge mess she caused in her small hometown. Her aunt and uncle welcome her to their Manhattan town house, but her beautiful cousin Tory isn't so thrilled. . . . In fact, Tory is hiding a dangerous secret--one that could put them all in danger. Soon Jinx realizes it isn't just bad luck she's been running from . . . and that the curse she has lived under since the day she was born may be the only thing that can save her life.

A good, fast paced read. It is wonderful how bits and pieces of the stories are slowly spread out to keep you reading and engaged. A fun story with good characters.

This book was better than I expected! I've always enjoyed fun little book "chick flicks", and I assumed this was going to be another one of those: fun, but generic. This book is a great romantic and fun read with a twist! I enjoyed it a lot.

This was another fun Meg Cabot teen book. A sixteen-year-old leaves her small rural home to live with her aunt and uncle in New York city and ends up having a complicated rivalry with her glamorous cousin. What made this book different from other Meg Cabot teen books was the witchcraft twist. I thought this book was really enjoyable and funny.

I liked it, but it was not the normal thing I would read. I'd read it again, but I wouldn't give it more than 4 stars at all. Meg, I love you, but this is not you at your finest.

Great book. Meg Cabot is a great author. I didn't think I would like it when I read the summaries, but I decided to give it a shot anyway. And I am so glad I did!
