I know Midsomer Murders gets in trouble for everybody being white, but they do a great job of having women characters that are just as important as the men. Even old women, all the young characters always have opinionated mothers and grandmothers hanging around, it's great. Also, nothing makes me happier than seeing Barnaby's subtle ways of getting the best of his cute-but-dumb sidekick Troy.
