There are two stories (books) here: "A Death in the Family" on the death of Jason Todd and "A Lonely Place of Dying" on the introduction of Tim Drake as the third Robin. Of the two, I thought A Lonely Place of Dying is the better written and more timeless tale. The worldwide setting of A Death in the Family and disjointed plotting takes away from the main event. These are both classics in the Batman canon, so you should read them at least once.

How did Robin come about? What lead to his death? Why didn't Batman waste the Joker? Find out! its a quick read and not one to put down once started.

I didn't like the style of writing and the plot didn't appeal to me.

This is one of my favorites of the Batman collection. Great art work, intense story, a true classic. It delivers an in depth look into the characters of Jason Todd, Tim Drake & Dick Grayson. The Joker is sadistically wicked as he rises to new heights of power, making him untouchable & out of the reaches of the Batman, but not for long....

Violence: This comic is made in 1985 so the violence is not heavy or graphic. Just punching and kicking ect...(a couple deaths.)
