Add a CommentGreat historical fiction; a true look at the life of soldiers in the Civil War -- many died of disease before they even got into battle. Very descriptive language used to describe the horrors of overcrowded hospitals, the brutality of untrained doctors delivering babies, the difficulties of traveling in that time period, etc. Look forward to more work by this author.
I didn't care for this despite the interesting time period.
