With some trepidation in choosing this read, I did enjoy it. Not being a "French fan" & always confused over just what factions were which, it did help somewhat to clarify the complexity the French nation faced during the war. I always assumed the 'resistance' were the forces opposed to Nazism & now realize that resistance was divided, greatly complicating the struggle to live through the occupation. I'll likely try another of this author.

Excellent! Would like to read more by this author. Enjoyed the characters and the story. Subject matter treated in an unusual way.
