I love Agatha Christie mysteries. I give this 3 stars in relation to her others. I got the impression that her editors had to cobble this one together from a rambling manuscript. Some of her other later novels are even worse.

Interesting, couldn't predict who the murderer was. The near constant back and forth between Poirot, Colin Lamb, and the investigator plus the constant return to the neighborhood of the crime and endless re-interviewing neighbors felt like going in circles and detracted from my enjoyment of the mystery.

Like the other books of Agatha Christie, this is also a very good must read book for mystery and detective story lovers! I enjoyed reading this book.

As with most of the Poirot novels, you start out the book learning about the characters, and it is not usually until halfway through the book that you actually read about a murder. All in all this book is a good work, but not as good as some of the other Poirot books.

Another great read from the queen of mystery. This is one of those Poirot novels where he is minimally involved, and most of the sleuthing is left to a policeman friend of Poirot's.
It opens with a great setup: a corpse and several mysterious clocks. No one knows who the murder victim is or where the clocks came from. They are all just there, in some poor woman's sitting room! A lot of fun follows. Enjoy!
