Elliot Knight stars as Sinbad; an impetuous young man on a quest for redemption, condemned to keep searching for a way to lift the curse that chains him to the seas, until he can find the goodness in himself. The eighth century Arabia is a melting pot of cultures, faiths and creatures, full of life and dynamism but also threatening and volatile. Before their journey is over, Sinbad and his crew of outcasts will not only have to brave their own demons, but some dangerous enemies.

This was a fun, imaginative series about adventure, friendship, and redemption. The locations were beautiful. It made me want to go to Malta.

On the whole, I found it to be a well-done and enjoyable series. It offers a colorful and believable setting, with vigorous and fresh acting. One or two of the 12 episodes did seem to lack original writing in the plot. Nevertheless, glad I decided to invest the time in this DVD. Seems to draw inspiration from the Arabian Nights source material.

It was O.K for a home TV movie. I was entertained and interesting. But it was NOT worth the long library wait or the price to rent from a Red Box. I fast forwarded a lot but not all the way.
