Fifty & Fabulous

The Best Years of A Woman's Life

Some women dread the approach of their fiftieth birthdays, fearing it's goodbye to good times and good looks. Others barely notice the transition; they know how to welcome each age for its particular blessings. This work shows how changing our attitude toward ageing can bring about a 'virtuous cycle' of rejuvenation.

At the risk of offending those who enjoyed this book, I thought it was a load of twaddle. Maybe if you're 20 & wondering what the 50s might be like you'd find this useful/interesting/informative/inspirational etc (I'm sure that's what it was meant to be!) BUT if you're already there...well! Come on, by the time we get to be 50 odd 95% of us (I made that figure up, but you get the idea) have already worked out that you can still feel like a human being with a meaningful life! Perhaps the author missed the boat & this book should have been written in the 1950s.
