Comment
Add a CommentI really enjoyed it for many of the reasons previous comments covered. It has a lot of twists and turns that caught me off guard. Well written, nice, short chapters that made for good stopping points when I had to put it down. I'm looking forward to reading some of his other books.
In the first half of the book, Danny Goodman is in over his head, failing on all levels. He's a writer (authors love to make their protagonists writers. This one is a historical biography writer). In the 2nd half of the book, he's an all-world beater, taking down Mexican cartel members. Very poor character development: did not like Danny, his daughter or his girlfriend at all: no depth to any of them. Story is like a screenplay for an action movie that opens to relatively decent audiences the first weekend, and then closes within 2 weeks or less.
A fast easy read, exciting from
start to a great ending,
interesting characters add to
the suspense.
If you enjoy a good mystery
here it is. READ this one.
Read it!!!!! It won't matter if crime and detective genres are your thing, this book is exciting and one you will not put down.
Got off to a bit of a slow start but finished well.
I am really enjoying this book. It is an easy read but very gripping. So tired of books that I plod through.
My first time reading this authors work but it won't be the last, have already requested other books by him, sure hope they are as good as this one.
I just finished this book, its a good read. I looked at his previous book "Paranoid" and see its pretty much the same story. I won't bother reading that one.
