I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, Kenneth Oppel did a great job writing a mysterious, suspenseful novel. You must read this book!

I generally enjoy Kenneth Oppel's works. While this one contained an interesting story, I felt confused with the details. An attack by a sasquatch is given the same weight as the striking of the "last spike". The plight of colonists (immigrants) coming to settle in Canada is dealt with the same as the hero being ensnared by a bog hag. The engineering feat of this super train is as believable as a origami "homing pigeon". It was hard to know what was based on facts (events, locations, people), and if everything was made up, nothing really had any weight for me as a reader.

Its a cool book. I felt like it takes a dark turn very quickly. Its a slightly creepy, but very adventurous book. I would recommend it to someone who likes action but fiction.

This is a book in the same vein as Oppel's earlier Airborn - a historical fantasy adventure featuring strange creatures, criminal schemes, and an awesome vehicle (in Airborn a blimp, and in this novel a massive train). Despite the similarities, this work and the world it creates feel fresh and interesting. I'd like to see some sequels, but it does stand quite well on its own.

Kenneth Oppel has a gift for language, crafting stories that sound authentic no matter when or where they are set. The Boundless offers the look and sound of the late 1800s.

This was a great book because it had a great adventure and action. You should read this if you like adventure and a action- packed book. This was my second favourite book from Kenneth Oppel my first favourite is Airborne. The Boundless is a must read.

Wowzers this book was amazing. Everything from the fast paced plot to the incredible and complex charecters, truley amazed me. This book really deserves the Red Maple award this year. Out of all twenty books, this was probably my favourite. Not only did Kenneth Oppel describe the opinions of the main characters well, he also includeded the povs or general aspects of people who were usually ignored such as the chinese and the Metis. As well, the villans were truley complex and were made so that you could see both the black, white and the grey of each situation. Great Book!

The Boundless!!

This is a awesome book from an awesome writer, and is a must read for almost everyone! The alternate history world is so well made and the conc or of the boundless was so cool and creative, that the book will have readers hooked in seconds. The character design was also brilliant, and I must say that they interacted with one another very well and had their distinct personalities, ensuring that the reader will like at least one. It was fast paced, well written, and is for sure one of the top books this year.
