A team of ambitious and competitive attorneys must face the conflicts between their personal desires, their obligations as lawyers, and their principles as human beings. A portrayal of the law and its litigators that was both realistic and irreverent made L.A. Law a favorite of critics and audiences during its eight year run on NBC from 1986 to 1994.

much better than I expected. interesting and entertaining. fascinating to see a number of tv stars when they were much younger. also interesting to see how the laws have changed since this show was made.

If you truly know the legal system this can frequently appear dated and hokey. For the most part, though, this was entertaining. My favorite character was Roxanne in this season and I was happy to see her character play a prominent role in several episodes. Susan Dey's character came across as a bit high and mighty. Who in Cleveland can see Corbin Bernsen and not think of "Major League" and Roger Dorn?
