I don't know if I'm biased, but I haven't met and read a Moyes book that I've rated less than 5 stars yet. You can't go wrong!

This was my second “road trip” with the quirky bunch of misfits in ONE PLUS ONE, but I enjoyed this book as much as I had when I first read it almost 2 years ago. Yes, the story is kind of a modern day fairy tale, full of romantic comedy cliches, but it works. Author Jojo Moyes skillfully creates 4 engaging, believable characters (Jess, Ed, Nicky, and Tanzie) and in alternating chapters, each one relates the story from his/her own perspective. This narrative style adds a rich depth to the plot line. Like real life, ONE PLUS ONE has its moments of humor, love, heartache, and sadness, but ultimately it is a story of hope and family. With Moyes' bestseller, ME BEFORE YOU, now released as a major motion picture, can a film adaptation of ONE PLUS ONE be far behind?

I took off 1/2 a star because the book was too short. I could have read about this family for another 300 pages! loved it.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and am surprised that some of the comments by other readers fail to mention that, beyond some of the funny situations in this book lies a study of human nature and the positive effect one individual can have on another. It shows that good can come out of adversity and that forgiveness is the greatest gift. Go along on the incredible journey taken by Jess, Nick, Tanzie, Ed and yes, Norman the dog.

Although not as good as "Me Before You", this is a mildly entertaining read.

I have now read three books by Jojo Moyes. They have all been different yet wonderful stories with believable characters.

I really did enjoy this book. Besides the hardships of a single Mom, loved the car trip scenario and was a nice enough read.

My favorite Jojo Moyes book! I love Cinderella stories. I love stories where the protagonists overcome obstacle after obstacle and they live happily ever after. I love to escape into these books. Single mom raising her child and a step-child live in a terrible British neighborhood complete with bullies. Her daughter loves math and her skills would meet MENSA standards. When a wealthy software entrepreneur finds himself hauling mom, the two kids, and a huge dog to Scotland for a math completion, a lot of hilarious adventure is about to begin. Realistic, I think not, but fun escapism, you bet. And they live happily ever after…..
