Tying in with the release of the BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY video game, this special edition collects the entirety of the BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY miniseries including all five digital-first chapters! Combined, this collection bridges the gap between the original smash hit BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM video game and its highly anticipated sequel. Find out the real motivation behind Mayor Sharp's plans for the new criminal gulag and how Hugo Strange is pulling the strings behind the scenes. The short digital stories reveal more about how characters other than Batman react to the rise of the new city-within-a-city.

Just average. Was expecting to be as good as the game but didn't live up to it.

not the best

It is what it is...a lead up to the video game. Outside of that, it's not essential reading for Batman or comic book fans.

I like Batman and the tv show Tower Prep so, when I found out that the writer of the show Paul Dini also wrote Batman comics I was so, happy. Though I have not played Batman: Arkham City I enjoyed the book.

Very simple set up for the video game. Some interesting elements but really not worth your time unless you're going to play the game. If you're looking for a great batman book try Batman the Black Mirror.

Strange, out of regular continuity tale (there are some significant changes) of the Batman serves merely as a prequel to set up a video game, and so leaves off with no closure at all. For those of us who don't waste our time playing video games for hours on end, another volume with resolution would be called for. On the plus side, however, it's written by Paul Dini, who knows the character well, and is gifted telling the stories of the Dark Knight.
