Debbie Macomber, #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Blossom Street and Cedar Cove series, delivers an inspiring new stand-alone novel about the enduring bond between sisters, the power of forgiveness, and a second chance at love. Growing up, Cassie Carter and her sisters, Karen and Nichole, were incredibly close--until one fateful event drove them apart. After high school, Cassie ran away from home to marry the wrong man, throwing away a college scholarship and breaking her parents' hearts. To make matters worse, Cassie had always been their father's favorite--a sentiment that weighed heavily on her sisters and made Cassie's actions even harder to bear. This was the first book I've read by this author. I read it to the end because I hadn't brought another book with me on my short holiday. I found it predictable, but an easy and very fast read.

Enjoy Debbie Macomber books . They are a relaxing read ...excellent for bedtime ....Love how she deals with everyday issues and emotions ...now reading "A girls guide to moving on" & looking forward to "If not for you" ....yes they stand alone but great to read as a series because the characters build on one another.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Read it in a couple of days. Looking forward to reading the other two in this "series" even though they're called "stand alone novels"!

Not the best of her books by a long shot. The preteen daughter was annoying, which I have never found in one of Macolmber's books before this. Still a good read that is easy and enjoyable that touches on issues that are real and traumatic at the same time.
