"Years ago, Shoya met Shoko, a girl who can't hear. His youthful boredom bred cruelty, and he stole away what should have been her happy childhood years. Now, as a high schooler, his own despair has driven him to understand how wrong he was. When he meets Shoko once again, that despair turns to hope. But is it really possible to make up for the happiness he stole away?"

This series is well worth the read. Best manga I have ever read. It is not your typical Shonen or Shojo, rather it's a slice of life with a purpose. I don't want to give away too much about the story, but I consider this a must-read.

This is an amazing series for teens (and adults) about bullying and forgiveness and friendship. I especially loved this third volume -- (I even cried a little after finishing it).

A great story about bullying. I am enjoying the story between Shoya and Shoko. Shoya wants to apologize for how he treated Shoko. I am hooked on this series.
