In response to an awful camp orientation video created by the god Apollo, Percy Jackson and other residents of Camp Half-Blood answer such questions as "What is this place?" and "Do I get to keep the T-shirt?" Newbies can check out the section on the Divine Cabins, read up on Magical Landmarks, and consult the chapter of Training Arenas. But Camp Half-Blood Confidential explores much more than just the buildings and grounds. It includes info that can only be learned from those who live there. For instance, campers do not always co-exist in peace and harmony. The camp is not run with superior efficiency. Prophecies do not flow forth with great regularity. Sprinkled throughout are stories from heroes who have called Camp Half-Blood home or just passed through on their way to places unknown. Chiron himself introduces the book with a brief history of training based on his millennia of experience. And, of course, there are divine words of wisdom from the god Apollo himself, because . . . well, because the demigod authors would prefer not to be struck down, thank you very much.

This book is hilarious and great if you want to dig deeper into Riordan's mythological world.

Camp Half-Blood Confidential – generally good reading but not my favourite Rick Riordan book and I have read 24 of his books to date. Doctor-at-Bass-Fishing. T. Adams.

Here’s the story behind Rick Riordan’s Camp Half-Blood Confidential: The demigods of Camp Half-Blood discover that most of them had missed out on the orientation film and decide to watch it. After they watched the horror (unsurprisingly made by Apollo), they decide to write a book in order to introduce young demigods without burning their eyes out. Although this book - unlike Riordan’s other companion novels - doesn’t seem to further the plot to better establish his more recent books, it serves its purpose to act as an introduction into camp and Percy Jackson’s world to young demigods. It further develops well-known side characters such as Chiron as well as lesser-known background characters. But a fair warning before you decide to borrow this book: prepare to laugh your head off.

Camp Half-Blood Confidential is an excellent companion book to the Percy Jackson series. In this book, you can read about everything there is to know about the Greek demigod camp, including very interesting secrets and stories the characters have to share. I really enjoyed the humour and sarcasm in this book as I do with all of Rick Riordan’s other books. I also really liked that many of the characters in the book were a part of the first and original cast of the Percy Jackson & The Olympian series. Although I do admire the characters introduced in Rick Riordan’s newest books, I’ll never forget the characters I met at the start of this adventure. With every turn of a page, you’ll end up wanting more. Not only will you gain a better understanding of the camp and characters, but you’ll learn something new about life in this fantastic, fictional world. 5/5 stars.

Percy and his friends get together to make a guide to all things Camp Halfblood for those new campers! A great way to see what the camp is really like and getting the different characters' insights. Probably best to be read after reading the Percy Jackson series so nothing is spoiled. This book is full of great art work to further help develop this story. Really enjoyed getting to dive back into the world of Percy Jackson even for 150 pages. Rating 5 out of 5 stars.

This book is ok, too much stuff about Apollo. Otherwise, it is a great book to read, a great introduction to camp half blood just great (sarcasm).
